WW2 WWII 8th Air Force USAAF POW B-17 Bombardier. Fresh from the estate of James P Mause. Bombadier on “Boom Town”. Jacket with white staining and a couple moth holes (have not attempted to clean). Shirt that is heavily damaged with a big hole and a bunch of moth holes. (have not attempted to clean). Medals (none are named). 70+ Letters from 1942. Bracelet with his name inscribed. Mause (ASN: 0-735202), United States Army Air Forces, was captured by German forces on or about June 22, 1943 and was held as a prisoner of War until his return to U. WWII US Army ETO Made Ike Jacket. Lining has wear and tear (especially low edged and in the cuffs). There is a small hole back left. Please check photos for a better idea of condition. Fits like a size medium- probably a size 38 but possibly a 40. Chest (Measured from armpit to armpit across chest, then doubled)- 22 inches across; 44 inch chest. Shoulders (Measured across the top of back yoke, where sleeve hem meets shoulder hem)- 18 inches. Length (Measured from bottom of collar to the bottom hemline)- 23 inches. Sleeves (Measured from top where sleeve meets shoulder to bottom cuff)- 23.5 inches. Old Vtg WWII Ca 1940s Original AAF Army Air Force Chocolate Shirt Flyers Officer

This offering is for an original WWII 1940’s US Army Air Force Officers Shirt. The shirt is made of a chocolate brown gabardine material and the original Army Air Force patch is still on the shoulder. The shirt has two patch pockets and a six button front. The original tag is in the neck but it has only a generic spread winged American Eagle on it and no makers info. There is a hole on the bottom of one sleeve just above the cuff as seen in our photo’s. There are also a few small scattered holes and a bit of minor soiling and one of the buttons has been broken in half. The pink paper tag on the front shows the shirt was taken to the cleaners in 2005. Original WWII US Army Air Forces / Army Air Corps’Aleutians’ flight parka type B-7. White sheepskin with brown leather bands and pockets. Original buttons, zippers and cotton loops all in good working condition. Original black and gold tag, manufactured by Aero Leather Clothing Co. With a 1942 contract. The back left seam has been repaired as shown. It is hard to see the extent of the tear underneath. Leather patches have been sewn on the inside and outside. The upper right shoulder shows a tear in the leather. There is a small tear on the front, near the bottom left pock et. Rare large size: 42R. Fits an XL in today’s side. Armpit to armpit: 23in.
