Royal Air Force Silk Escape and Evasion Map. South Coast of England / France / Europe. Original World War II Double Sided Silk Royal Air Force Pilots Escape Map. Scale 1:2,000,000. Map Sheet C and D. Features the South coast of England, English Channel (with the rest of the Country omitted for obvious reasons) France, Luxembourg, Holland and Belgium. A nice original World War Two era, rayon single sided map, with heat-treated edge, produced by MI9 from 1940 to 1942. Printed onto rayon in three colours only, this map would have been issued to allied pilots and aircrews serving in the Royal Force, throughout the course of the World War Two and prior to D-day. Genuine period original escape map, in very nice. For its years, with very light signs of use and wear only. Please see pictures for details. Royal Air Force Silk Escape and Evasion Map. Germany / Switzerland / Austria / Czechoslovakia. Original World War Two Single Sided Silk Royal Air Force Pilots Escape Map. Scale 1:2000,000. Or 31.5 English to 1 Inch. Features Germany and its surrounding countries including Holland Czechoslovakia, Austria and Switzerland. A nice original World War Two era, silk single sided map, with heat-treated edge, produced by MI9 from 1940 to 1942. Escape and evasion were printed onto rayon or silk (this one I believe is silk as its a different texture) in three colours only, this map would have been issued to allied pilots and aircrews serving in the Royal Force, throughout the course of the World War II and prior to D-day. Original World War II. Mulberry Leaf Tissue Escape Map. World War Two SOE, Royal Air Force Pilots Escape Map of Northern France, Spain, and the Mediterranean. Scale 1:3,000,000. Rare early RAF / SOE map, printed on a special mulberry tissue like material, as opposed to the more commonly seen, silk or rayon type maps, this mulberry tissue has the same has the same thickness and appearance of tissue paper, but is not affected by water, it is also durable so can be folded and therefore more easily concealed. Issued to SOE operatives, RAF pilots and aircrews, maps like this would have possibly been smuggled into the P. Camps to aid prisoners on escape attempts. Map of Northern France, Spain and Mediterranean on one side, blank on its reverse. Genuine period original escape map in very nice condition. Please see pictures for details. ARMY AIR FORCE Life Preserver Vest MAE WEST B4 D-Day Pilot Paratrooper. See picture for condition. Has all the pieces and rubbers. I removed the CO2 cartridges but are available. Used good condition would look great for a display. Small used spot on the top strap but can be left alone or reinforced easily, the lower strap was reattached to the vest at on point.
