Vintage 1959 Monogram U. Air Force Air Power Model Kit PA56-398 – Complete & Nearly Unbuilt! Holy Grail of Collectors! This is the legendary 1959 Monogram Four Star Plastikit “Air Power” (Kit #PA56-398) – one of the most sought-after and iconic vintage model kits ever produced. Released only once during the height of the Cold War, it showcases 18 authentic U. Air Force aircraft in uniform 1/240 scale (1 inch = 20 feet), all molded from official blueprints for incredible accuracy. 18 Detailed Aircraft Models (102 silver plastic parts total). F-100 Super Sabre. F-102 Delta Dagger. T-33 Shooting Star. Complete with original identifying exhibition stand (blue cardstock base with labeled attachment points). Steel “flight wires” for suspending the planes in a dynamic in-flight display. Full multi-colored decal sheet unused – USAF markings, stars & bars, etc. Instructions, original tube of glue, and the rare 24-page “Air Power” booklet with photos and info on real aircraft systems. Easy-to-assemble design – perfect for display as a stunning mid-century Cold War era centerpiece. 100% complete – every part accounted for, including all rare accessories. Only three of the smallest aircraft have their tail fins cleanly attached (common minor start from original owner; no other assembly, no paint, no decals applied). Parts are in excellent vintage condition – many still on sprues or neatly bagged, silver plastic crisp with no breaks. Iconic box shows honest age/wear (edge rubbing, creases) but is solid, complete, and displays beautifully with that classic artwork. A true time capsule from 1959 – never reissued in full, making this a true collector’s treasure! This kit is often called the “holy grail” or “most mythological” Monogram release – highly nostalgic and prized by aviation enthusiasts, model collectors, and vintage toy hunters. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own a piece of modeling history! Photos show actual item – box, full contents laid out, stand, booklet, wires, decals, and parts. Plenty more available on request.
