Beautifully made vintage die struck wings but I believe they are an older repro / restrike. Clearly die struck but a thinner than usual stamping. Regardless, a high quality filler for a wing missing from most collections. Please see my other auctions for more items from this estate and other estate military items. Thank you and good luck! Multi-piece construction, in silvered and gilt bronze with red and light blue enamels, measuring 38 mm x 56.3 mm, marked in cyrillic type with the Milosheva of Sofia maker mark and coded “3-23-89″ on both the support plate and the screwback, intact enamels, scattered silvering and gilt wear, very good condition.

WW2 RAF/RCAF Irvin manufactured observer/chest type parachute pack. Lovely parachute pack as used by bomber aircrew for attachment to the observer/chest type harnesses. This example is a Canadian made example and is copiously labeled and stamped with IAC marks for “Irvin air chute”. It appears to be in unused condition but is stamped with matching serial number to the inspection booklet indicating it was used and issued. Unfortunately there is no canopy fitted or packed and the pack is currently filled with foam for display. The pack is complete otherwise with all hardware, the original attachment loops and plates, D-ring pull handle and complete set of pack bungees. The pack is dated “OCT 20 1942″ with similar packing dates on the inspection card. Overall a lovely pack, ideal for a ww2 RAF musuem aircrew display, RAF collection or reinactor display. Amazing parachute harness used by a member fo the 8th Air Force during World War Two. This one is a standard RAF Observer Type Harness which had been modified when used by the Army Air Force in England. As you’ll see on photos, we have yellow group markings and the harness had been sewn and adjusted to the back pad which was a common practice in the AAF. The harness is named on the pad and thanks to its discovery location (North of France), it probably belonged to a member of the 303rd Bomb Group, shot down on his 25th and last mission (20th October 1943 – POW). Around 2000 RAF Observer Type Parachute Harness had been used by the AAF during WW2… Don’t miss out on this one, they are impossible to find! The QAC harnesses were widely used by aircrew personnel on bombers, and the quick release style was particularly popular. The Observer harness was the standard issue harness for the RAF and was also employed by the USAAF. This is a high-quality replica is built from the correct materials and sized exactly like the originals. It is built using a with the double layered Type VIII black dot webbing and period hardware. Adjustment adapters and shoulder connectors are stainless with WWII markings. The harness mates with the characteristic drab brown back pad, which features original cotton duck, drab brown retaining webs, and nickel hardware. Internally, it features period style hair felt padding. Rings are located on the saddle for attachment of a life raft. All the stitching is done with original cotton thread on a WWII 7-class harness sewing machine.
