This is a 1950’s Japanese made USAF 13th bomb squadron patch with the famous “Oscar” The patch is just under 5″ tall and is about 4 1/4″ wide. The pilot I got this from was flying B-57’s in the late 1950’s.

I bought this this grouping a number of years back from a dallas estate sale. This is a nice large grouping. The items represent the usaf career of major henry robert tillie. Tillie flew 50 combat missions as a bombardier with the 15th air force 301st bomb group 352nd bomb squadron. He flew extensive combat in korea as a b-26 invader navigator with the 13th bomb squadron the grim reapers. He was awarded multiple distinguished flying crosses and air medals. All items are as found in collection. Most of the items relate to his combat days with the grim reapers in korea. Included in the grouping are as follows: a very rare korean war 13th b. A original 13th bomb squadron grim reapers felt patch. Measures 3.25 inches across. Four 3 inch navigator, crew, and bombardier wings. Two are marked sterling. Two 2 inch wings both marked sterling. A named bracelet with broke band and officers hat badge. Two name tags, seven dog tags from different periods of his flying career, misc. Seven boxed medals including his black coffin boxed sewn brooch air medal with attachments for six oak leaf clusters. Rank insignia, tillie usaf id card. Wwii photo of tillie in leather holder wearing his bombardier wings. His elgin military stop watch and his aviators wrist watch. (24) 8×10 style glossy photos. Several bomb strike, b-26 invader aircraft and photos of major tillie post korea. There is his flight school yearbook from 1942 oxnard california and class group panoramic photo. Tillie later washed out of pilot school and became a navigator. Korean war era navigator maps. A pouch with three folded cloth escape maps. Also included are a half dozen navigtor log charts for combat missions. Squadron newsletters from the 90’s. A nice thorough grouping for your collection. The grim reapers are the 13th bomb squadron which were Assigned to the 3rd bomb group. Sorry for typo in title.
