WW2 Royal Air Force Lancaster Bomber communications receiver model R1155. Nice looking radio as fitted to heavy bomber aircraft during WW2 and seems to have been most famously used in the Lancaster bomber. This example is in very nice condition and looks to be complete. All the dials knobs and switches are present and they all turn freely. I do understand these receivers can be restored back to working condition and have an extremely good reputation. I wonder what messages this one intercepted? A real piece of RAF WW2 history and a real statement piece for any restorer, collector or enthusiast. Please check my other nice items for sale. WWII U. S. Army Air Force BC-348-R Radio Receiver, 24 VDC Power Supply, & Speaker

Army Air Force BC-348-R Radio Receiver, 24 VDC Power Supply, and Speaker. This is an original World War II U. Army Air Force Radio Receiver that operates with its original Dynamotor from an included 24 Volt DC Power Supply. It will be hard to find a more complete and better functioning BC-348 receiver. 24 Volt DC Power Supply. Also included are the following Spare Tubes. The original paper capacitors, which are famous for their abysmal failure rate, have all been professionally replaced by a PhD engineer as you can see in the pictures. The receiver has been completely aligned and it operates as it should. The dynamotor has been reconditioned including cleaning the old World War II grease out of the bearings and repacking them with a modern lubricant. The 24 Volt DC Power Supply has been designed for continuous duty. Note that the LS-3 speaker has an internal 8,000 Ohm matching transformer that matches the output impedance of the BC-348. Thus, there is no need for any additional audio amplification as was thought by many Hams who unnecessarily modified these receivers. Other than the necessary capacitor replacement, this receiver is unmodified. Operate this BC-348 the way it was intended to be operated – with the dynamotor from 24 Volts DC! See the pictures for the condition of this great receiver. UPS packs, ships and insures all of my large or fragile items.
