Please see my other pieces for sale, especially. WHITE HOUSE PRESIDENTIAL “RESIDENCE” SILVER FORK AND SPOON. For your consideration, nine (9) exquisite pieces of history. These items were manufactured for dining/conference room use on the Presidential Rail Car, Ferdinand Magellan. The Ferdinand Magellan was built/rebuilt by the Pullman Company for use by Presidents FDR, Harry S Truman, and Dwight D Eisenhower. They are all in MINT condition since they were not used. The small bowl does have a hairline crack in center bottom which does NOT go through to verso. Apparently and amazingly, these were stored in Air Force One hangar, which leads me to believe they may have also been used on Air Force One for JFK and Nixon, although there is no known provenance for my belief. Below is the description information requested for Item No. This has been in my family’s possession since about 1972 when my dad was a crew member aboard Air Force One. China from previous administrations was being stored in the hangar galley on the ground. A clean out process was begun and the outdated China was distributed to various crew members, my dad being one of them. From what I’ve been able to find the Old Ivory Syracuse mark on this China was in use between 1927 and 1960. Presidents served with this China could have been F. The gold accents are very heavy. Around the edge is an alternating star and bar pattern. I can’t find any damage such as chipping, cracking or excessive. One bowl has a single light craze mark on the inside bottom. There are 9 pieces total. I don’t know what function each piece would have served but they are all picture. One 10 1/4 plate. One 4 1/2 saucer with an espresso cup. One 6 1/2 saucer with two handled soup bowl. One 5 5/8 bowl. Funny, she gave only measurements for 7 pieces rather than 9: here are the other measurements. Demitasse cup 3 1/8 W x 2 3/8 H.
