This is a wine colored Jolly Roger 320th Squadron – Air Force- heavily embroidered shirt with 13 “bombs” at the top. The solid, embroidered in red, circle shows a fighter’s face and two crossed bombs. The embroidery work on this shirt is spectacular. Note the 14 comfort pleats inserted in yellow in the back. See all the photos and condition notes. The squadron was awarded a distinguished unit citation for its operations in Papua through January 1943. And earned another citation for strikes on enemy airfields in New Guinea in September 1943 despite heavy fire and fighter opposition.
