This is from the Korean War era or just after. I have never seen one of these and the people I have have showed it to have also never seen one. Unpaid cases open after 2 days and close after 6 days. This is the real deal and in amazing condition. I’ve done quite a bit of research to insure this item is true World War 2 era. Everything is legit and its in amazing condition. I recently discovered the name on the inner left collar Sgt R M Pelum. The estate had no survivors so there was no family member to take this jacket. This is a piece of American and World History. The bombs painted on the front indicate the number of air raids this person was a part of. There is nothing like this anywhere available for sale. The patch is the 441st Bomb Squadron. The Latin phrase is “FINIS ORIGINE PENDET”: The Academy motto is a quotation taken out of context from the Astronomica of Manuilius. As a school motto, it is freely translated as The end depends upon the beginning. The jacket was listed a few years ago amd I decided to keep in my collection.
