In the trade of a pilot posted from RAF base at Gloucester to a flying school no. 4 at RAF station Evanton on 29.8.1940. Then transferred to 4 Ferry pilot Pool (4FPP) at Kemble with effect from 25.2.41. Transferred to 10 Path finding force at Hullavington 19.5.41 Transferred to 55 operational training unit Aston Down 16.6.41 Transferred to Polish fighter squadron 307(Specializing in night flights) 8.9.41. 9 group Headquarters at Preston 20.12.43. Comes with copy research, service details and photograph. Received cross of valour on 15.4.42. According to copy of polish service details. In one of the photographs is Edward with his wife and the well known Battle of Britain pilot Eugeniusz Szaposznikow (Peter Sharman) as his best man.
