These type of goggles were worn by RAF (Royal Air Force) pilots in the early stages of the Second World War and were one of the most common models worn during the fall of France, Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain. The googles are in overall very good clean condition, with some signs of age and light wear. He spring loaded straps are in good order and the lenses are quite clear. The only defect being one side of the strap had become unattached from the goggles and has been period repaired (see pictures). This does not impede the usage.
