Vintage, 1963 genuine military issued USAF N-3B Mens’ Medium Flying Jacket with non-detachable, fur-lined hood. I wish this fit me. Anyhow, this Southern Athletic Company nylon parka is in in great condition physically. There is some staining near the left hand side pocket and a similar spot on the upper left chest near the opening. If it weren’t for that, I’d say the jacket is in near mint condition. No holes, tears, missing snaps or buttons or anything else I would consider a problem. Snaps work, zippers work. Fur is in great condition. Nothing matted or sticky or gross. In spite of the staining, if it fit, I’d wear it myself and you wouldn’t be reading this. These are the measurements I’ve taken and if you need any others, let me know and please be specific. From the collar where the hood is sown on to the bottom at the back is 33. From pit to pit across the back is 25. From pit to cuff is 17. For shoulder measurements please keep in mind, there is not a seam so it is a bit of a judgment call. From shoulder to cuff is 23. Between From shoulder to shoulder across the back is 18″ and 19″. From one side of the hem to the other across the bottom is 53. Cuff layed flat across is 7. The padding is thick and heavy. There is a strap at the back of the hood. Weight is around 6 lbs.
