Recent Northern Virginia estate find. Major Ripley began his military career towards the end of WWII in the Army Air Forces and continued through the Korean and the Vietnam Wars in the US Air Force. We will be listing many items from this estate from all the wars including flight suits, flight bags, pilot helmets, and other items. A wonderful piece of history. This helmet would be just post Korean War with a manufacturing date of August 1954. Shows obvious wear as this was a used piece of equipment from Major Ripley’s collection.
