USAF ATLAS ICBM NOSE CONE BY GENERAL ELECTRIC 1960S PRESENTATION MODEL COLD WAR. Standing 12 tall not including the base, this is an original circa 1960s painted wood model of an ICBM missile. The metal plate reads USAF Atlas I. Nose Cone by General Electric. There is some crazing to the paint from age, and there are a few spots of paint loss here and there mainly on the silver nose cone. It comes off the mount only because the glue holding it has dried out- that doesnt affect it at all. The best I can figure is that this was a model that was given out by GM either to their own managers/ executives or something or maybe they gave it out to certain Air Force personnel. Either way its a great presentation piece from the Cold War era. I could not find one quite like this anywhere.
