Incredible, untouched uniform grouping of a WW2 airman that has never been in a collection before: WW2 USAAF Army 8th Air Force B6 jacket and uniform grouping of G. Includes one 4-pocket tunic with pilot wings, one Ike style two pocket jacket, one long sleeve undershirt, straight leg dress trousers, 2x Air Force belts, the B6 jacket, and a small assortment of items found in the veterans pockets, including a heavily tarnished silver dime dated 1945, two ticket stubs, and a card containing information for a civilian tailor/dry cleaners. The B6 jacket has stunning, original WW2 artwork on the reverse bearing Windy City in yellow paint. The jacket has supple leather with working zipper system, and some lightly stitched tearing to the top of the left shoulder. Although the leather is overall strong and supple, we would not recommending wearing this jacket – it is to be handled with care, and the sewn tearing to the shoulder would benefit from reinforcement. The 4-pocket, long sleeve shirt, trousers, and belt are all marked with Websters information. The Ike-style jacket has had its Sergeant rank patches and US collar devices removed and bears faded information to the top inside of the collar, including what appears to be a different name.
