WWII 15th AIR FORCE 2nd BOMB GROUP AIR CORPS PILOT JACKET & LETTER LOT W DOGTAGS
The group is identified to Lt. Henry Lee Berryhill ASN O-829403. The group includes his 4 pocket regulation officers jacket w/ belt, bullion pilot wing, USAAC patches, and ribbon bar. Jacket is a size 37L has a 1942 dated Philadelphia QM label. I didn;t read all of the letters but the ones from Italy seem to have decent content and mention missions, etc.. The uniform jacket is in solid shape with some minor moth tracking on right collar & upper right sleeve and a small hole at shoulder. The bullion pilot wing & 15th AF patch are worn and fraying. Sewn ribbon bar is nice. A set of original WWII Meyer US & winged prop insignia have been added to jacket for display along with sterling WWII lieutenant rank insignia. These insignia are period correct, but DID NOT ORIGINALLY COME WITH THE GROUP. The letters are mainly in nice shape and exhibit some period wear and expected folds and come with the original envelopes. The Dogtags exhibit some period wear. The letters and small items have been put into a three ring binder for display. 99 CENTS TO START & NO RESERVE! I will also be listing some neat WWI & WWII groupings this week.
