HGU-22/P Used Pilot Helmet, White, Large, with Mask and Visor. This helmet belonged to my father, who recently passed away. It is white, with a couple of blue stickers on the visor shield. He was a pilot who flew both Hueys and Jets. He was an instructor pilot for the USAF, and this is one of his helmets. It is used and has been sitting in his closet until the time of his passing. There are no personal markings on this helmet, that I could find. It was manufactured by Sierra Engineering Co. For being a used helmet, it appears to be in decent condition. It includes a sun visor and the oxygen mask. I do not have any use for it and believe it would better serve someone else. Nice Clean Complete 1980 Gentex HGU-22/P Single Visor USAF Pilot Flight Helmet. This is a nice clean 1980 Gentex HGU-22/P single visor USAF pilot’s flight helmet. It is a Size Large and it is in excellent lightly used condition. The visor works smoothly and doesn’t have any scratches. It still has the original sizing pads in it, though two pieces of the front pad clams loose while I was shooting the photos. Earphones and comm cord are all good, but the foam in the earcups needs replaced. It has oxygen mask bayonet receivers set for offset bayonets. This is a really nice 40 year old helmet. Gentex HGU-22/P Single Visor USAF Pilot Flight Helmet, Nice Project Helmet This is a 1970’s era Gentex HGU-22/P single visor USAF pilot’s flight helmet. It is a nice clean shell to build up and it has the visor tracks, visor housing and oxygen mask bayonet receivers. It has the styrofoam liner inside, but is missing the pads, earphones, visor and visor knob. The tag is faded out so it is unreadable, but I believe it is a Size Large.
