SACRAMENTO CA, USA, 95841. THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE (1) U. Air Force Pilots Coat / Bomber Jacket. Preowned vintage. During WW2 the United States Air Force geared their pilots with shearling & sheepskin leather Bomber Jackets. This is one of them. The coats is plush and very warm, a requirement pilots needed since they flew bomber planes in unpressurised cockpits during WW2. This meant the interior cockpit cabins were consistently bearing low temperatures and those below freezing. This coat is original and in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The outside leather is dark and gently worn with some signs of normal wear; including light cracking (in areas) and scuffing at the pocket openings. The inside (body and sleeves) is fully lined with plush shearling. Shearling is paneled with hidden stitching and shows normal wear. Large slash side pockets. Collar adjustable belts with buckles and metal grommets. Waist adjuster belts with buckles and metal grommets. Cuff adjustable belts with buckles and metal grommets.
