WW2 RCAF/RAF MKIII flying goggles. As worn by aircrew and pilots. Nice pair of goggles in good used condition. The leather facepad is overall very good, does have some scuffing and marks to the chroming but no major damage, rips or tears. There is a couple of cosmetic repairs but they do not detract at all. The pads have gone hard however but the cushioned sections are still soft. The lens are very good and clear, with minimal distortion. Hinge section is good and tidy with no issues, however the nose leather bridge has some peeling and a small hole. We advise caution with the nose section as it is fragile. Strap is clearly marked “RCAF 22/397″ also dated 1942. There is some damage to the spring section on the right hand side, the left side having no damage or issues. Both sides still providing good springness. Overall a lovely pair of goggles, ideal for a ww2 RAF musuem aircrew display, RAF collection or reinactor display.
