US Government issue briefcase with rare Skylab & Air Force stickers circa 1950’s-70’s. Made of leather with stitched seams. The case is in usable condition, but has signs of significant wear. The interior is in good shape, except for lifting of the bottom liner from what seems to be moisture exposure which may have originated from the outside. There is a single document flap that is in very good condition. The imprint at the bottom of the cade is still legible. PROPERTY OF US GOVERNMENT. There are 3 stickers on the case of undetermined dates. There are no references found on the internet for two of the stickers as of the posting of this entry. The logo of the Air Force Weapons Laboratory can be traced back to the 1950’s via an AFWL directory website, whereas Skylab was started in the 1970’s, and any reference to the logos of the two Skylab stickers are currently unattainable from the internet. The hardware is in good working order, although latching one of the clasps requires pulling the release, whereas the other latches easily. The hinges, both inside and out, work perfectly. All brass hardware has nice tarnish or petina. No keys are provided. Please see and zoom in to photos for further details and condition. Thank you for viewing.
