Beautiful 1950’s USAF Blue Wool L-1A Flight Suit, Wing Commander W/Insignia This is a really nice USAF Blue wool L-1A flight suit from the 1950’s. It looks like the pilot was still wearing it into the 1960’s era. The flight suit is a Size Medium Regular and it is in excellent condition. It is rare to find these wool flight suits in this kind of condition. The insignia looks like it dates from the 1960’s when this pilot was the Wing Commander of the 3575th Pilot Training Wing. There is a beautiful patch from the 3575th Wing and how rare has that “Commander” tab got to be? This is truly a one of a kind flight suit.
