US made and machine embroidered in chenille – 4 1/2 inches tall by 6 1/4 inches across in size. Used, as you can see stitch holes where this patch was sewn onto a jacket. Maker marked on the reverse side by the Whiting Letterman company. The 82nd flew the p-38 early in the was, p-47 mid war and finished up with the P-51 Mustang.
