Chelsea Clock Co 8.5 Inch US AIR FORCE “Squadron Tracking Clock” with Overhauled Movement. The 1972 Model 12E eight day, 12 Jeweled movement (#773993) was recently ultra-sonically cleaned, completely re-built, lubricated and tested by Leonard Taube (retired Chelsea Master Watchmaker) dba: Clockmedic. Has the Factory Dual Hour Hands for a Secondary Time Zone setting. It is back to being a happy clock keeping very good time. The dial is 8.5 inches in diameter from edge to edge and the case is approximately 10.5 inches at the back flange. The phenolic case has no chips, cracks or unsightly scratches. The threads on the knob are in good condition and the hinge has no cracks. Comes with a post-2009 winding key (Part #1272), U. Government Factory Chain (Part # 2-240) and, just for fun, a later manufactured Raytheon Missile Tag. The clock model is described in Chelsea Clock Company, The First 100 Years 2nd Ed. Page 247 and the additional parts in Chelsea Clocks: A Technical Manual, Part II (Page 8 & 9) with reference to Raytheon Corp. As shown in the photos.
