This is a set of Type A-1 Air Force high altitude sheepskin flying boots. These are almost identical to the AAF A-6 boots. The improvement over the A-6 boots were the addition of bail out straps. This prevented the boots from falling off after parachuting. These boots are in very good condition. NO rips or tears, zippers are in excellent working condition. Zippers have the original pull tabs. Each boot is marked with the wing & star insignia. These were considered an over boot. They are marked as small size. The soles measure 12 inches in length. Worn by themselves these will fit size 8-9. These are ideal for display with a heavy bomber crew display. NO dry rot and the sheepskin is golden colored and boots each retain the original Air Force labels. These are always hard to find in this condition.
