The helmet is offered as used, as I cant vouch for its previous history, but a lot of units have gone through my hands, and this looks brand new, with absolutely zero scratches on the shell or visor, and the leather edging around the visor, which generally wears first, is untouched. The helmet benefits from oxygen mask hangers and a standard general aviation twin plug set up. Will come with foam mic sock. I have tested the helmet out in my T-6 aircraft, and it works perfectly. The previous owner described the size as Large, which I have been able to use on an older model, but it is just too small for me. I take a 59cm or 7 3/8 hat size which puts me on the boundary between Large and X-Large. I can get the helmet on, but is just too tight for any extended use. I cant identify a size on the shell without pulling out the foam liner which is firmly glued in, but I would think Large is probably correct. This is a genuine USAF issued pilot helmet with tinted visor, which was used in the late 1990’s – early 2000’s. All components of the helmet worked perfectly in it’s last use. Smoke Visor Lens, Clear Visor lens (not pictured), flyers bag (not pictured). Features an Oregon Aero Zetaliner & Earcups. Helmet comms can switch between the boom mic & mask microphone. Comms are untested, but everything looks to be complete. Boom mic is cracked, but still holds in place fine. Fantastic complete setup, would be a great display piece.
