WW2 UNITED STATES ARMY AIR FORCE SURVIVAL MACHETE (USAAF) MADE IN AUSTRAILIA NEAR MINT. This stunning scarce example can be found in Cole’s Book 3, pg. They were made in Austrailia for American Air Force bailout kits. As evidenced by the’beak at the front of the blade that was used to crack coconuts, or an occaisional Japanese head. They were good for either. The blade has a rough grind from the factory, that at first looks like sharpening. This one is all mint and original. The aluminum handle is the one-piece as per Cole’s. Are boldly embossed on the handle as per the pic. The thick leather scabbard is stamped Bonney & Clark Ltd. All leather straps are present, and all hardware also. There are no problems on either the machete, nor the scabbard.
