I have a very cool lot of preserved history from ww2. I was able to get these items from a nice family after the gentleman’s passing. He must have had one hell of a life as he passed away this year at 100 years old. He entered the war in 1942 at the age of 26 and went thru flight training, and became a bomber ferry pilot flying planes over to England during the war. First b24s then b29s, b47s and finally b52s before he retired as a LT. So 9 items in total. Don’t miss out on these super cool pieces of history from of our greatest generation. The first is a cloth size 34 b15 intermediate flight jacket. It has his leather name tape A. Blackwood on it and first LT. Bars on the shoulders. The one on the left shoulder has come off and is missing. It is in great shape for its age but there are some issues with the left sleeve end and the bottom in some spots. Still in great shape and tons of life if you choice to wear it. A little bit of wear on the right brown fur on the edges. The measurements are 19in. From armpit to cuff and 18in from shoulder to shoulder. The second is a cloth size 34 b15 intermediate flight jacket that is in great shape for its age but there are some issues with the both sleeve cuff and the bottom in some spots. Third is his flight suit size 36 that is in perfect condition and still has the army air forces symbols in great shape. I even found this cool paperback book(12o clock high) in the inside pocket. Its dated 1949 in one of the b15 jackets, I also have a b29 book that I got. The best is 2 his army air forces year books. I was able to find his pic in both and he even marked certain people that were his roommates and copilots. In the one book I found 2 original pictures of him one in his leather jacket with skull cap and googles and the 2nd he is next to the prop of one of his b24s. The first book is dated 1942 and I couldn’t find a date on the 2nd but he is a 2nd LT. By then from when he was in the 91st ferry squadron. These 2 books are awesome as the detail the training that they all went thru and lots of awesome pics. At this time I’m looking to sell this as a lot and not looking to piece it out.
