WWII Era Original US Army Air Force Bailout Folding Blade Machete Survival Knife w/Guard – Marked: Camillus – Very Nice Condition. This machete still has the original blade guard. Most of these are guards are normally missing. The blade is bright, with some discloration. No nicks or chips in the blade. No rust or pitting. The blade is marked: Camillus. The blade is 10″ long, with an overall lenght of 15 1/2″. This machete was adopted in October 1942 for the B-4 Emergency Bail Out Kit, usually attached to the parachute harness. The blade is true and straight but does have some dents and/or marring. Opens and closes without issue. Some visible signs of surface rust. Crack accross the hilt/handle on one side. The sheath is in great condition, Complete with leg strap and working snap closure. It does have some stains and signs of age. Please be aware this is a collector piece. Very good condition and guaranteed original WWII US Army Air Force Type A-1 survival folding machete. Clearly maker marked to IMPERIAL on the blade. Folding mechanism functions fine. Blade has original blue metal finish showing some normal wear. Edge has a chip near the tip. Black plastic grips have no damage. Complete with leather wrist thong. Fitted in scarce original leather carrying pouch that is soft and supple with tight stitching and shows some normal wear. Has faint markings on the front. Very good condition original WWII US Army Air Force Type A-1 folding machete that is complete with the scarce original leather carrying case. Blade has nice original blue metal finish showing a little normal wear and spotting and a few minor rust stains. Folding mechanism functions fine and tight. Complete with original folding guard. Black plastic grips have no cracks or chips. Leather case is soft and supple with some normal wear and staining. Stitching is nice and tight. A scarce WWII USAAF folding machete with case that will make a fine addition to your collection.
