Up for grabs is an amazing grouping belonging to an Air Force colonel John Patton served in three world wars flew many aircraft. This guy was an amazing veteran, hero. This is his grouping over many years his original VMI Virginia Military Institute sword, engraved with his name, several of his uniforms, his pilot wings His badges, patches, blood chits etc this is a great grouping belonging to an amazing man. A great addition to any Air Force collection. He served our country in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

Super nice estate fresh air force grouping appears to be early 1980s- late 1990s or early 2000s. Lots of obsolete air force badges and some rare insignia! Bought this last year from an estate picker. The grouping appears to have been from a senior enlisted man (Master Sergeant) who reached the fire rank of Fire Chief/ Marshal the highest rank in the AF fire service. The fire protection badge is obsolete now in the air force making them much harder to find then years ago. I believe now they only use the patch. Sadly the set is not named or attributed! I feel like a lot of these semi modern groupings are being split up lately. Down the road nice original groupings are going to be tough to find. If i cant get my asking price or a fair price i will split it down the road or just keep the badges. As for right now i will try to sell it as a grouping! 1x 1984 AF Side Cap, leather band super nice near mint condition. 1x FULL size large Deputy Fire Chief Badge in original box. 1x Mini Badge Fire Chief / Marshal in the original box. A 3rd box that has. 1x firefighter badge mini. 2x assistant fire chief badges mini. 1x deputy fire chief badges. Plus 2x extra clutch backs. (badges are all early pin back obsolete variants dfn). Bag of patch. 5x total rank patches 4x large size 1x small / 3x subdued 2x regular. Also 2x shoulder boards for master sergeant. 9x still sealed ribbons. 26x loose ribbon bars (many w stars or olc oak leaves). Pair of af silver collar disks 2x. Total of 37x individual insignia in bag. (this also tells us he saw combat service in desert storm/ and recieved multiple af commendation medals, multiple meritorious service medals and multiple air force achievement medals & good conduct medals). Pretty neat grouping, a lot of these get split down the road sets like this will he desirable! Sadly no name but exactly as acquired! Pricing was tough here a lot of value present. I do not want to split it but will if i have to down the road. Im bascially charging total what i feel the badges are worth- large size deputy fire chief badge is a tough one to find in the large variant and alone is a 75-100 dollar badge! Price might seem high but at the ask im really only charging for the badges and giving the rest for free…. If its sitting and you want a specific thing message me and we will figure it out! Air Force Brigadier General’s flight grouping including his flight suit, flight jacket, garrison caps, and flight gloves. These items belonged to a Brigadier General Hutchinson of the Air Training Command. I have not done any research on him, so I have no specific information on him other than what is contained in this lot. Everything is in well worn, but good condition. Flight Suit: Size medium regular and dated 8 January 1968. It is very well worn with dark soiling of the lower legs. All zippers and snaps are present and functional. It has the embroidered white on olive drab Brigadier General stars on the shoulders, Air Training Command patch on the right breast, and HUTCHINSON stamped on the white cotton name tape on the left breast. When lying flat, it measures approximately 24 1/2″ from the top of the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve, approximately 18″ across the chest when measured from sleeve seam to sleeve seam at the bottom of the name tape, approximately 19 1/2″ across the waist when measured at the adjuster buttons, approximately 22 1/4″ from the collar seam the the waist seam when measured down the back, and the inseam measures approximately 29 1/2. Flight Jacket: There is no tag information in the jacket. It is in good, well worn condition with what is possibly mothing or pulling of the material in the waist and collar, leaving several small holes. The zipper and all snaps are present and functional. It has the embroidered white on olive drab cloth Brigadier General stars on the shoulders and Air Training Command patch on the right breast. When lying flat, it measures approximately 23 1/2″ from the top of the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve, approximately 17″ across the chest when measured from sleeve seam to sleeve seam at the top of the Air Training Command patch, and approximately 24 from the collar seam to the bottom of the jacket when measured down the back. 2 Air Force Blue silver piped officer garrison caps with silver Brigadier General stars. One is a Flight Ace size 7 1/8 and the stamping inside is hard to read, but the USAF Certification No. Appears to date 1969. The other cap has not tags or markings inside, but looks to be the same size. Both are in well worn condition with the unmarked one showing soiling from wear. USAF summer flying gloves that are a size 8 and dated 1972. They are in good, well used condition with normal signs of wear. I don’t have a good spot to properly display this grouping, so I would love to pass it on to someone does. I f you have any questions, please send me a message. E Flowers Medal/Logbook Grouping. Lovely medal collection, consisting of campaign medals and standard war medals. Comes with original named logbook, dated inside from 1943 till 1945. E flowers enlisted on 17/1/1942 as an AC2 and trained as a wireless operator. He went to wireless and air gunnery training schools in 1943 at RAF Yatesbury. He then went out to No. U at RAF Gianaclis in Egypt and flew with 500 Squadron before moving to 22 squadron SAAF (South Africa Air Force) in July 1944 who he saw the out the end of the war with. For most of his operations with 22 squadron SAAF he flew in a Ventura aircraft, where they carried out Air sea rescue patrols and missions, convoy escorts, anti submarine patrols and anti U-boat patrols, schnorkel sweeps, sub bombing training and various other training flights. The logbook is kept upto April 1945 with approximately 38 pages filled including his training. Further to the back is some written assessments and practise drills he carried out including dinghy training, bailing out etc. Some soiling and water damage to the cover of the logbook but all the pages are in good legible condition. There is a couple of photos possibly taken by Flowers of Ventura aircraft in flight, and what I believe is a picture of his crew. Unfortunately it is slightly blurry and I do not know which airmen is Flowers himself, but it is safe to assume he is one of them. There is Flowers original SAAF insignia, a wireless badge and navigators brevet Included with the medals as is the original box and paperwork. The medals themselves in lovely condition, mounted on a board for display. Some soiling to the ribbons. His original airmans service and paybook is included, but it is worse for wear missing the front and rear covers. It has his personal details, enlistment details, RAF trade details, what qualifications he attained whilst in the RAF, his medical records and innoculations, permits and passes. And finally his last will and testament, interestingly not filled out. There is also his original RAF flying clothing card detailing what flying equipment he was issued, flying helmet, mask, gloves etc. He was interestingly issued a K-dinghy set to attach to his observer parachute. Finally there is a newspaper cutting and air navigation booklet to complete the collection. Overall a lovely medal/logbook grouping with lovely extra items, photos. Should be ideal to carry out extra research should you wish. Perfect for any RAF collection, museum display or medal/logbook collector.
