Very Rare WW2 German Airforce Luftwaffe ME109 BF109 Front Wheel made by continental tyres – Complete! This is one of the front pair of folding wheels at the front end of the iconic fighter plane. Its in great condition given its 75+ years old, its still inflated and the tread and rubber isn’t destroyed like you often see on wartime plane tyres. I picked this up in Normandy, although 0 history with it at all sadly. But its 100% a genuine WW2 item and a brilliant and iconic addition to any collection. It is in excellent used condition and appears to have had very light use in its life. The reference information stamped to the back of the compass is. Dated from the early Second World War period this compass is made of black carbolite and plexiglass. The Original Genuine Leather Wrist Strap is in excellent condition with no cracking. The stitching is strong and the clasp and mounts are in perfect original condition.
