Convair F-106 Delta Dart Navigation Light Lenses & Retaining Rings Very Rare

These Navigational light lenses and retaining rings were removed from a Convair F-106 Delta Dart. The F-106 was the primary all-weather interceptor aircraft of the United States Air Force from the 1960s through to the 1980s and it was considered the “Ultimate Interceptor”. The Delta Dart was fast – on December 15th 1959 Major Joseph Rogers set a world speed record in the F-106 of just under 1526 mph and later that year Charles E Myers flew the same model interceptor at 1544 mph. The F-106 wing tip navigational lights are circular. The forward 2/3 of the lens is tinted red or green, with the aft 1/3 being clear. I removed these items my self so I know for a fact they came off of an F-106 Delta Dart – and this is an item you very rarely if ever see for sale. Part of what made the F-106 so special was its performance. It had a maximum speed of 1525 mph at 40,000 or Mach 2.3, a service ceiling of 57,000 feet, and it could climb at 29,000 feet per minute… There are no cracks on these lenses and there is a little bit of minor corrosion on the retaining rings. Matte black painted dial with white screen printing. Heavy spade and whip hands, painted white. Keystone chromed base metal case #920113. Exterior Case Back: AN 5740 – MFR’S PART NO. 33106 – SERIAL NO. W535ac-40783 – HAMILTON WATCH CO. Interior Case Back: “Keystone – Base Metal – 920113″. Case Edge Under Bezel: “000942”. Movement: Hamilton Watch Co. USA – 4992B – 22 Jewels – Adj. And 6 Positions – 4C102878. None of this is significant or conspicuous. Otherwise this watch is in excellent all original cosmetic condition with no damages and no significant wear. I detect to no restorations or touch ups. No dings, dents, bends. No pry marks, tool marks or scrapes. No significant scratches or rubs. No significant wear to the chrome. The case front and back screw on and off with no issues. Generally clean as found. The watch is functional as found, running well and keeping accurate time. The movement is visually clean as found with no grime, pitting, oxidation. Winds and sets easily with no issues. There is one faint watchmaker’s mark inside the case back: “2 23 59 NN”. I have not had the watch cleaned or serviced in any way. I do not know the service history of the watch if any. For optimum function I recommend having the watch professionally cleaned, lubricated and adjusted.
