Hobby Master 1/72 Convair F-102A Delta Dagger USAF 16th FIS, Naha AFB HA3111

F-102A Delta Dagger 31802 was a modified JF-102A. In 1959 it was assigned to the 16th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Naha Air Base on Okinawa before going to the 317th FIS, 509th FIS, Idaho ANG, 190th FIS and to storage in 1971. In February 1977 the aircraft was scrapped. The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger was an interceptor aircraft built as part of the backbone of the U. Air Force’s air defenses in the late 1950s. Entering service in 1956, its main purpose was to intercept invading Soviet bombers. The F-102 was the first operational supersonic interceptor and Delta-wing fighter of the USAF. It had an internal weapons bay and could carry both guided missiles and rockets. The official name for the Convair F-102 was “Delta Dagger”, but it was commonly referred to as the “Deuce”. The F-102 was used in the Vietnam War for fighter patrols and bomber escort. A total of 889 had been built when production ended in 1958. New, in box, unopened.

Convair F-106 Delta Dart Navigation Light Lenses & Retaining Rings Very Rare

These Navigational light lenses and retaining rings were removed from a Convair F-106 Delta Dart. The F-106 was the primary all-weather interceptor aircraft of the United States Air Force from the 1960s through to the 1980s and it was considered the “Ultimate Interceptor”. The Delta Dart was fast – on December 15th 1959 Major Joseph Rogers set a world speed record in the F-106 of just under 1526 mph and later that year Charles E Myers flew the same model interceptor at 1544 mph. The F-106 wing tip navigational lights are circular. The forward 2/3 of the lens is tinted red or green, with the aft 1/3 being clear. I removed these items my self so I know for a fact they came off of an F-106 Delta Dart – and this is an item you very rarely if ever see for sale. Part of what made the F-106 so special was its performance. It had a maximum speed of 1525 mph at 40,000 or Mach 2.3, a service ceiling of 57,000 feet, and it could climb at 29,000 feet per minute… There are no cracks on these lenses and there is a little bit of minor corrosion on the retaining rings. F-106 Delta Dart Fuel Cap From The Ultimate Interceptor, A Piece Of History

Maximum speed: 1,525 mph at 40,000 ft Maximum speed: Mach 2.3 Combat range: 580 mi with internal fuel Ferry range: 2,700 mi with external tanks at 610 mph at 41,000 ft Service ceiling: 57,000 ft Rate of climb: 29,000 ft/min Time to altitude: 52,000 ft 6 minutes 54 seconds.
