AIRCRAFT ID TRAINING KIT. Six (6) WWII Aircraft Models. WOW- Offered for sale is an original WWII US Army – Airforce Airplane Training Model Kit which includes the Six (6) model planes and the original wooden carrying case. I believe this is a Rare find, as surely not many of these kits were made and even fewer could have survived for this long a time, especially with the case. The aiplanes are made of an early plastic and have age issues, some warpage, Bi-plane wing needs glue/repair and some softening of finish noted. British Typhoon- made by Hawker and known by the flyers as “Tiffy”. British Fairey Albacore dates from 1939 to 1943, a Bi-plane, bomber, recon and torpedo plane. The Russian PE-2 or Perlyakov was a light bomber, recon and ground attack plane. Japanese Tony-made by Kawaski. Japanese MC-20 was made by Mitsubishi. The wooden box is also original, it has some age soiling and looks somewhat rough, though the hinges, clasp and handles are in place. The outer painted label is hard to read.
