Starting on April 28, 1972 the Massachusetts ANG 101st FIS received 26 Convair F-106 Delta Darts. Originally 57-2494 c/n 8-24-77, the 100th F-106 produced was assigned to the 95th FIS in August 1959. On June 5, 1972 57-2494 was received by the 101st FIS where it flew until it was retired to AMARC on December 29, 1987 and stored as FN163. It was later converted to a QF-106 target drone that was shot down by a Stinger missile on August 27, 1996. With this model you’ll see Hobby Master’s dedication to authenticity and detail.
