Limited Edition 1000 Pieces Worldwide. McDonnell Douglas F-4C Phantom II. Robin Olds (July 14, 1922 – June 14, 2007) was an American fighter pilot and general officer in the U. He was a “triple ace”, with a combined total of 16 victories in World War II and the Vietnam War. He retired in 1973 as a brigadier general. His 259 total combat missions included 107 in World War II and 152 in Southeast Asia, 105 of those over North Vietnam. Scat XXVII was retired from operational service and placed on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Designed as a fleet defense fighter for the US Navy, the F-4 Phantom was first flown on May 27, 1958. This twin-engine, long-range all-weather fighter/bomber proved highly adaptable and served in the Marine Corps and the US Air Force as well as in the Navy. During the Vietnam War, it was the principal air superiority fighter for the Navy and the Air Force and was also used for reconnaissance and ground attack. The Phantom continued to serve well into the 1970s and 1980s and even flew missions during the first Gulf War. Finally phased out by the F-14, F-16 and F/A-18, the Phantom was retired in 1996. RARE WWII German 10×80 Luftwaffe Flak Binoculars Doppelfernrohr WW2 CRO Fuess
A stunning example of the D. 10×80 Flak binoculars complete with the original rubber headrest pad, detachable front sunshades and Flakvisier AA attachment. This is one of a trio of Flakfernrohr just listed which were all US veteran bring-backs! Finished in the original ordnance tan paint, this particular pair are clearly maker coded’cro’, indicating manufacture by R. Fuess, Optische Industrie, Berlin. This maker is by far and away the rarest of all those which produced the 10×80! The optics are excellent and produce a lovely clear image with a superb field of view as is typical of the 10x80s. The ocular width adjustment remains fully functional. However, note that the only item which will require some attention is the filter adjustment dial, which is missing the cross bolt screw to attach to/operate the rotating mechanism on which it sits. Nevertheless, this is an incredibly rare set which is surely missing from many of even the most focussed of optics collections today! Pilot set of the RAF from WW2 around 1941. Consisting of: Pilot’Type C Leather Flying Helmet. Also an oxygen mask, a -G-type, in fair conditon. The oxygen mask is 100% WW2 used until 1943. The speaking microphone in the oxygen mask is included with “on&off” button. The oxygen mask is good for its age (see photos). The glasses are a Mk. IV, FLYING GOGGLES, also in pretty good condition. Furthermore, are there some personal items that came to us together with this lot. A banner with “Royal Airforce” and the motto “Per Ardva, Ad Astra”. A uniform cap and two epaulettes, a tie and a photo and finally an award bar. Everything comes from one provider and almost certainly belongs together. Cant tell you much about them they were an estate sale find most of the stuff I could identify was Marine Corpss with some navy ranging from the 40s 50s 60s and 70s. These are in great condition but will need washed due to being stored in the basement they smelled musty. Has the same name on pants and jacket MITBuy them for what you want them for. Possibly one of the finest original WW2 RAF 1941 Mae West life preserver jackets available. Baring the original British war department arrow stamp and size label. Size is large and in good used condition with no rips or tears. Few marks and scuffs. Complete with original 1944 bladder which has a small vintage my lip repair but is still working and inflating as should. An absolute GEM for collectors. No tears, damage or holes. No Co2 cylinder or lever included. A very good example. These do not come up for sale often and are becoming rarer and rarer. Especially in such good condition!
