This ring was custom made from a United States Air Force Senior Navigator Wings Badge. It sits at an 8.5, but could be adjusted up a bit. The original navigator badge was issued by the Army Air Forces and consisted of an armillary sphere centered between two wings. In 1947, the Air Force replaced the Aircraft Observer, Navigator, and Bombardier badges with a single design featuring the Air Force shield.
