Consisting of a flame-retardant waistcoat, inflatable table and blast-proof pouch, the MK40/41 provides comfort and ease of maneuverability to the wearer and can be adapted to suit varying customer requirements. The MK40 Fast Jet Life Preserver is compatible for use in a variety of fast jet aircraft, including BAE Systems’ Hawk, Harrier and Sea Harrier, the Panavia Tornado, and the SEPECAT Jaguar. Jacket, Aircrew, Heavy Type N-3A Size Small. CROWN made in the USA zipper with leather pull. Left sleeve zippered pocket features metal CONMAR zipper with leather pull. Paper tag with size quality control number written inside upper front snap button pocket. All working zippers and all buttons intact, beautiful fur coyote? Full ruff, hard to find in this condition! Ribbing at wrists is GOOD with one hole, see photo. Paint loss to snaps. No snags, stains, or odors – near MINT. This parka was dry-cleaned by its very fastidiously clean owner and stored away for years. Ww2 RAF bomber aircraft, aircrew escape axe. Nicely air ministry marked escape axe as fitted to RAF aircraft. These axes were used by aircrew incase their aircraft crashed and they were trapped inside. The thin outer skin of the aircraft would be easily cut using one of these axes. This example is an air ministry marked example with a lovely early style crown and A. It is also stamped with stores reference number 27N/1. The metal components have light pitting but no major damage and could be cleaned slightly. The hard rubber handle shows wear but is in good condition with patent number still visible. These axes have become very popular and sought after, due to a recent feature on the BBC antiques roadshow.
