1990s Men’s USAF McPeak Uniform 38L Blue Airman 1st Class Brass Button Eisen N28. DSCP Garment by Maryland Clothing MFG. Vintage Coat Dress Jacket. Era: 1995 – 1999 (transition era for this new uniform to be adopted). 3 pocket formal coat + 1 interior pocket. US Air Force Airman First Class Insignia. By 1999 This McPeak uniform was the new official blue shade 1620 dress coat and was 55/45 percent polyester wool blend serge weave. Its equivalent counterpart in the civilian world would have been the business suit. The coat is semi-draped and single breasted with three buttons. As in a civilian suit, there was one left breast pocket without a flap. There were two lower pocket flaps. The buttons bear the old US Army Air Corps wings and star. Officer rank will be worn on the lower sleeve as silver colored braid bands similar to the US Navy. The trousers are of matching color and material. 3 Brass Button marked: USA N28 Eisen. With Army Air Corps Wings & Star. Shoulder to shoulder: 18. Armpit to armpit: 20.5. Width at hem: 22. Weighs: 1.10 lbs. The McPeak Service Dress Uniform. Intended to be sleek and uncluttered.
