Offered here is an. Original 1957 USAF Operation Mobile Zebra Map. A remarkable Cold War artifact directly associated with Col. Blood, commanding officer of the 386th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, and signed by Brig. Momyer, Commander of the 832nd Air Division. (Nov-Dec 1957) was one of the earliest large-scale trans-Pacific deployments of the F-100 Super Sabre, testing the U. Air Force’s ability to project jet-age power across the Pacific. This hand-illustrated map charts the full route from Clovis AFB, New Mexico, to Japan, with whimsical mid-century artwork capturing the optimism and ambition of early Cold War air mobility. Printed on heavy stock with natural toning from age, this is one of the few surviving original presentation maps produced for squadron commanders and senior officers. Provenance: Recovered directly from the Canyon Lake, California estate of Col. Blood and his wife, Lucille Blood, where it remained preserved in its original frame for decades.
