ONE OF A KIND INCREDIBLE ESTATE SALE FIND!!! This has been in a box for many many years stored in a cool dry location. NO mold, mildew, smell, drying, brittle leather or anything else wrong!! This helmet is in such beautiful condition it is almost like new. The leather is still amazingly soft and supple. The inside suede is incredibly soft. There are no marks indicating this was issued to anyone ever! Look at the picture of the back of the helmet, there is a small area that is slightly faded to the left and right of the seam, probably how it was stored in the box, these may have been fold lines. Probably could easily buff out with the correct product, but I didn’t want to use the wrong thing on this so I did not touch it. This is a model A-11 Specification Number 3189, WWII Aviator’s Pilot’s Leather Helmet. It has the Army Air Force stamp inside the helmet in black and outside the helmet in silver. This has the receivers built in, model # ANB-H-1. Comes with Goggles, one piece hinged and adjustable, padded, AN-6530 in excellent condition as well.
