Sealed in original cellophane packaging. Does no appear to be heat damaged, but hard to see all of it. These masks are known for degrading over time so be careful. Cannot guarantee that is will not fall apart if opened and handled. Great for collection or shelf display.

Original issue 1944 dated. World War 2 Pilots oxygen demand mask. Cellophane packaging is old and hard to see through, so we split open just a little in order to get better pics of the contents, but we did not want to disturb it too much. Box has a little rust on the metal corner and the label is coming off in places. The mask and hose appear to be in good shape, and although appears live and pliable, we cannot guarantee its future performance. The pieces are weathered and show wear because of its age and also from my fathers use. Includes the helmet with goggles, oxygen mask with hose, extra chin strap, 2 sets of replacement lenses- 1 clear & 1 tinted, and the original box. This item was issued to my father in 1950, I believe, so 1 owner. It is in good shape and has been stored in a smoke free indoor environment. Plug is in great shape, not bent or corroded. Helmet is in great shape too, no moth damage and all the metal buckles are there, not torn off or corroded off. I will also be listing a B-15 flying jacket, and an entire flight suit with fur lined boots and even a set of headphones. Those will be listed over the next couple days, check back! Up for sale is an original 1957 USAF U. S Air Force flight helmet type P-4A with A-14 oxygen mask. Also included is an electrical headset H-75A/AIC. This unit is in incredible condition for its age with little deterioration to the rubber on the oxygen mask. This unit does feature some scratches on the helmet and visor. The headphones appear to be nearly untouched with no tears or rips that I can see. Please ask any questions you have and I can provide more pictures if need. The item “U. An excellent example of period aviation helmet w/ear speakers, oxygen mask w/microphone and connector wires, all in great condition. Helmet is a size medium, Type A-11 (see Photo above). Mask is Type A-14, size large (see photo above). Helmet protective bag is 16inches by 16 inches in full rip stop nylon, zipper works great and bag is in great shape. These items were my uncle’s and he used them in the latter part of WWII in long range bombers and also in recon jets over Russia directly after the war. They have always been stored in our climate controlled home (non-smokers) and properly looked after. Please contact me if you need more pictures or info. Also, check my other listings for some aviator googles (Italian) that were used with these pieces. I did get a question about the ability of the oxygen mask to connect to the leather helmet–I had not noticed before, but the right side (see pics) has all the connectors on both but the left side, has the connector on the oxygen mask torn and attached to the helmet connector. This is just from age, as the rubber does not maintain its strength.
