WW2 US Army Air Force ANS31 Summer Flying Suit Size Medium WASP Nurse. Made in olive drab wool gabardine material this suit replaced the A4 style suit in 1944. Although labelled Size Medium they are quite small and might be ideal for a WASP or flight nurse impression, they fit my size 12 wife perfectly and were worn for this purpose. Last picture is of USO performers. Francis Langford and Patty Thomas. Both wearing this style of suit back stage after a show in the South Pacific in 1944. In very good condition, original two way Talon zip in perfect working order and the wool material is clean with no stains and strong throughout, there are a couple of small areas of moth tracking which have been reinforced by two iron-on patches. Underarm to underarm across the chest laid flat 20 inches. Shoulder to shoulder across the back 18 inches. Across the waist 18 inches. Overall length including collar approx. No guarantees as to fit. An original ultra rare WW2 USAAF issue Flight Nurse light weight flight jacket, K-1. In used condition its still in very good clean condition. Label is intact, size 14. The should AAF transfer is faded but still quite bold on the inside of the button flap. WWII US ARMY AIR FORCE MILITARY STERLING SILVER ENAMEL WING FLIGHT NURSE INSIGNIA PIN. Item is well made and in good preowned condition; HOWEVER, there are some surface scratches and small dings… (please see photos for condition)… Item is beautifully adorned in the form of a sterling silver nurses pin. The pin features an “N” which is wonderfully highlighted brown enamel, the N is set on a caduceus which features the classic two snakes and large outstretched wings. The pin features the embossed feathers of the wings. The pin is well made and in good condition. Item measures approx 2 1/16″ long by 13/16″ tall and weighs 9.8 grams.
