USAF Flight Helmet F-105 Thunderchief Vietnam War Flying Pilot HGU MBU-5/P THUD

I bought this set straight from this Thud Driver in 2009. Size of the helmet is MEDIUM and more interesting is that this shell has served earlier as a dual visor “ramshorn” helmet shell before it was converted to a single visor helmet! Maybe all the new stuff were need for Vietnam. Lieutenaunt Emerson Taylor served 1969-70 at Takhli during his one year combat tour with 354th TFS/355 TFW. If I remember right he flew some 67 combat mission during his Vietnam combat tour. You will get also a few JPEG photos of his years at Thakli (354th TFS) and Kansas (562nd TFS). I will included also a couple of A4 sheets of his flight caree as a F-105 & A-7 pilot. This helmet is from his days at 562nd TFS at McConnel AFB, Kansas, after his SEA 1969-70 combat tour. The dates from his MBU-5/P matches his SEA combat tour years from Vietnam era. He retired in 1987 as a major after 20 years of service and only a few “hours” (years) as a USAF desk jobs pilot.
