Rare N-3A US Air Force Parka from 1950s. Fur trim on hood is coyote or wolf. In extremely good shape with no matting, thinning or coming loose from hood. Judging by the weight of the jacket (6+ lbs), the inside between outer nylon and inner lining is most likely wool. The knit cuffs on the sleeves show no wear or unraveling. The jacket does have an odor about it. It’s not unpleasant, but is definitely there. Perhaps the aging wool. I don’t know if dry cleaning would remove it or just being out in fresher air than it’s probably been in the last 60 or more years. I acquired the jacket at an estate sale and most of the information I’ve gleaned from other listings and research on the net. I’ve shown it to several people who served in the military, but they were Viet Nam era and their gear was green; they had never seen one like this.
