This is a gem of a find. It is an original 1944 issue USAAF Type A-11 Intermediate leather flying helmet. Helmet is in excellent overall condition and appears to be unworn. Leather is very soft and supple. Golden chamois is clean and excellent. Inside there is an old repair. Original label indicates this is a desirable size large. Beautiful wing & star insignia on the front left side. Chin strap assembly is complete and functional. Factory applied oxygen mask snaps. The A-11 was a favored flying helmet. This helmet is a fine example of the A-11 Intermediate flying helmet. Great size and condition. If there is a problem or concern contact me and Ill make it right.
