This is a handsome find. It is an original early war 1. Pattern Tropical D helmet. Shows flying time with some soiling from age. NO rips or tears. The early patterns had four goggle straps. Size is not marked, it is a medium fitting size. This includes the oxygen mask snap and also has some old American Army Air Forces R-14 earphone receivers. Cord has the black PL-54 plug. American Army Air Force pilots often wore British flying gear to offset some of the shortages of American issue flying gear. This is a hard one to find.
