VIETNAM WAR, UNITED STATES AIR FORCE USAF, OD FLIGHT/ PARTY SUIT, MADE IN NKP (Charming Tailors, Nakhon Phanom) THAILAND, FINE WHITE DIRECT EMBROIDERY ON THE FLIGHT SUIT IN VERY GOOD USED CONDITION. Very scarce to see any uniforms made in NKP. Since this suit lacks the patches common to party suits this garment was likely a working flight suit. Up for sale tonight is this ORIGINAL Vietnam War Tropical field coat I recently acquired at an estate sale. It is named to a Major Andrew Turner who served as a Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) in an RF-4C in the 12th Tactical Recon Squadron at Tan Son Nhut in 1969-70. This coat is in excellent condition and appears to have never been worn or only slightly been worn. It has no rips, stains, holes or tears and no fading. All of the buttons are fully intact. It has some nice theater made patches sewn on as well. The size is as follows. Chest: Pit to pit 24. Sleeve Length (Neck to Cuff). If you have any questions or need more pics, please let me know. This is a handsome find. It is an original early war 1. Pattern Tropical D helmet. Shows flying time with some soiling from age. NO rips or tears. The early patterns had four goggle straps. Size is not marked, it is a medium fitting size. This includes the oxygen mask snap and also has some old American Army Air Forces R-14 earphone receivers. Cord has the black PL-54 plug. American Army Air Force pilots often wore British flying gear to offset some of the shortages of American issue flying gear. This is a hard one to find. This is a gem of a find. It is an early war issue 1. Pattern Royal Air Force Tropical D flying helmet. It is in used very good condition. The first pattern had four goggle straps and large neck flap. These helmets cam in four sizes 1 thru 4. This is marked as a size 3. Chin strap assembly is complete and fully functional. Large whiskey cup ear cups are in good condition and getting a little bit stiff. No rips or tears. The first pattern D helmets were made in small numbers and very hard to find today. These were used in tropical areas and were favored by pilots due to the lightweight and cool characteristics.. A beautiful original early war flying helmet. This is an early war 1. Pattern Royal Air Force Tropical D type flying helmet. It is in used good condition. It is the type with four goggle straps and a widows peak on the front. The front brow has a repair. This is outfitted with original ANB-H-1 earphone receivers with wiring assembly. Could have possibly been issued to an American Army Air Force Pilot. It is complete with an oxygen mask hook. Chin strap assembly is complete and functional. Helmet show flying time and is worn. It is a medium size. The markings on the inside are faded and no longer readable. The First Pattern D helmets were produced for only a short time and few remain today. This is a gem of a find.
