The patriotic artwork of David Camp portrays a ariel picture of the famous World War II B-17 bomber Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby in flight. The lacquer finish of this piece does contain a small defect below the nose of the plane. There’s also a few tiny areas of scuff on the lacquer above and below three signatures in center of piece see photo #10 and #11 for imperfections mentioned in the description. The quartz clockwork ca. 1980 was serviced on 10/24/2024 by a reputable dealer and is in working condition. During servicing, the reputable dealer informed me that he was familiar with many of the signatures on the piece. The owner of the clockwork’s shop is a U. Air Force veteran whom confirmed serving with a few writers of the signatures. I was informed that the signers performed restoration on B-17 while it was being maintained at the Dover, Delaware Air Force Base. The original multifunction wind up 2-day chronometer. 25 jewels, “K” (bright-white, non-luminous digits / hands), with heater. Clock may displays some minor imperfections, but is guaranteed to be fully functional, historical military timepiece. This clock is fully mechanical, wind up item. It does not need any power source to be operated! These clocks have been designed to withstand speeds of Mach 3 / 1800 mph (2900 km/h) and altitudes of up to 100,000 feet (30 km). These robust timepieces are built to keep time flawlessly while pulling 6G’s! Built-in 27-volt heater ensures operation even at -60 °C (-75 °F).
