Vintage World War II. German Incendiary Bomb Tail Fin. Genuine WWII era, German B1E 1kg Incendiary Bomb tail fin. The bomb would have consisted of a cylindrical body, made of magnesium alloy, and filled with thermite, an incendiary compound. To which was riveted the three finned steal tail that you see here. These bombs did not explode, but on impact, the needle in igniter was driven into a small percussion cap, which in turn ignited the thermite filling, and ultimately the alloy case in itself, producing enough heat that was sufficient to melt steel. The tail fin is good condition for its year, with some signs of age and related wear. Fast dispatch, expertly packaged. Sent via a tracked courier service. RARE WWII German 10x80 Luftwaffe Flak Binoculars Doppelfernrohr WW2 CRO Fuess

A stunning example of the D. 10×80 Flak binoculars complete with the original rubber headrest pad, detachable front sunshades and Flakvisier AA attachment. This is one of a trio of Flakfernrohr just listed which were all US veteran bring-backs! Finished in the original ordnance tan paint, this particular pair are clearly maker coded’cro’, indicating manufacture by R. Fuess, Optische Industrie, Berlin. This maker is by far and away the rarest of all those which produced the 10×80! The optics are excellent and produce a lovely clear image with a superb field of view as is typical of the 10x80s. The ocular width adjustment remains fully functional. However, note that the only item which will require some attention is the filter adjustment dial, which is missing the cross bolt screw to attach to/operate the rotating mechanism on which it sits. Nevertheless, this is an incredibly rare set which is surely missing from many of even the most focussed of optics collections today! Lovely pair of D. 10×80 Flak binoculars presented in very nice, untouched condition and clearly maker coded’CXN’ – indicating manufacture by Emil Busch, Rathenow. This particular pair are factory finished in the typical early to mid-war dark grey/blue finish, and come complete with both of the original sunshades, rubber headrest pad and mounting rails. The optics remain in collimation and are usable as is, although as ever they would certainly still benefit from an internal clean/service to be brought back to their true optical potential if so desired, anyway the vision is good!! The internal crosshair aiming reticule remains intact. No collection of WWII German artefacts should be without one of these iconic pieces of equipment – which are only getting increasingly hard to find in such good, original condition!
