Royal Air Force GQ combined pattern flying suit / parachute harness

Manufactured by GQ Parachute Co Ltd of Woking, Great Britain. Dated 1st & 31st December 1940. Early Dual Purpose type with provision for clip-on seat or chest type parachute packs. Manufactured from heavy olive drab cotton with twin front zip opening and zipped pockets. The suit is in very good condition; the material is clean and without wear or damage. Complete with the detachable fabric stole that would contain the inflatable stole (bladder). Both inflatable stole and the actual harness are not present (the latter of which never ever turn up). Excellent large Air Ministry marked label. A superb piece of kit and useful for filling a mannequin as it deletes the need for a separate parachute harness and mae-west. WWII USAAF TYPE A-9 Short Oxygen Mask with “Juliet” harness. Mask is manufactured by Acushnet Rubber Co. And is dated January 1942. Mask is in overall good condition. There is some slight surface cracking on one side but is still very pliable and not dry. Mask does exhibit some soiling and wear. The Rubber hose is very flexible with no rot as well. Some corrosion to the hardware. All straps are intact and functional. The rubber clip that holds the nosewire in place has been lost over time. The Harness does exhibit some soiling as well but remains in good condition. A very solid and hard to find Mask. This A-9 Oxygen Mask will display well in your WWII USAAF collection or display. PCU-15 Pilot parachute harness IN MINT CONDITION. Used on aircrafts like F-16 , F-15 etc. This harness is equipped with the LPU-3 life preserver with zipper. This method was used in the early days of the F-16. Later the LPU-9 was adopted. This type of pilot harness is now getting impossible to find in this condition. This is a 1958 US Air Force pilots parachute flight harness. It has the seat cushion that house the parachute (it has NO parachute inside) It still has the date and manufacturers stamp as well as the instruction on the back. It is in great condition. All our items come from estate sales, yard sales, flea markets or places that we have traveled. All Japanese items come directly from Japan. I lived in Japan for 8 years and collected several nice pieces. Feedback will be left once feedback is received. If you get it dry cleaned or repaired prior to contacting me once. We are a smoke free home, but many of the items were acquired from homes that may have smoked. These are collectables that I sell to be displayed.
